The Journal of National Development (JND) is a biannual, peer-reviewed international journal. It publishes two regular issues each year: Number 1 (Summer) in June and Number 2 (Winter) in December. In addition, a special annual issue in Hindi is published in June to address the scholarly needs of social science researchers and teachers from Hindi-speaking regions of India.
Contemporary Social Sciences (CSS) is a peer-reviewed international quarterly journal published regularly in four issues: January–March, April–June, July–September, and October–December.
All manuscripts submitted to JND and CSS must comply with the following submission and publication policies:
Submission Requirements
- Manuscripts must be submitted in English. Submissions in Hindi are accepted only for the Special Issue of JND (Hindi).
- Manuscripts should be submitted in electronic (soft copy) format via email to papersubmission@jndmeerut.org or editorcssjnd@gmail.com, preferably at least two months prior to the intended publication schedule.
- Submissions, including tables, figures, and diagrams, must be prepared exclusively in Microsoft Office Word format.
- Manuscripts must represent original, unpublished work and must not be under consideration for publication elsewhere. All forms of plagiarism constitute unethical publishing behavior and are strictly prohibited. Authors are required to submit a declaration of originality, affirming adherence to principles of academic integrity, intellectual honesty, and ethical research conduct.
- Authors must fully disclose all sources of financial support, including funding from government agencies, private organizations, or other entities, as well as any third-party contributions (e.g., research materials, equipment, data analysis, or editorial assistance).
- Duplicate publication, including verbatim or substantially similar content published elsewhere by the same author(s), is not permitted.
Peer Review Process
- All manuscripts received by the editorial office are subjected to a double-blind peer review process, whereby submissions are evaluated by at least two independent experts without disclosure of the authors’ identities or institutional affiliations. Manuscripts are assessed solely on scholarly merit, academic quality, and relevance, without discrimination based on race, gender, religion, nationality, ethnicity, or political orientation.
- The peer review process generally requires two to three weeks, though timelines may vary depending on reviewer availability.
- Reviewers’ comments and recommendations are communicated to the author(s). Revised manuscripts must be resubmitted after addressing the reviewers’ observations to be considered for final acceptance.
- Manuscripts received through recognized international academic collaborations or partner organizations, including papers presented at international conferences and certified by the respective organizing bodies, may follow a separate editorial evaluation process, subject to the journal’s publication policies.
